V/H/S seems to be made by a bunch of filmmakers who have nothing new to bring to the horror genre and shows the excesses of the found footage motif.
An anthology of horror, V/H/S seems more concerned with tits, annoying characters and cheap scares, than delivering a solid collection of provocative horror tales.
Most of the instalments are predictable and overly familiar. The final segment is the only one that shows any promise, even if it is only on a technical level.
V/H/S is dull, repetitive and devoid of originality. It continues to prove that the horror genre at the moment is in desperate need of new blood and a new gimmick.
