Good documentary. Howard Hughes was quite an interesting character and I learned a few things about him that I didn't know.

This movie is a character study more so than it is a spy movie, and in a way it succeeds. Yet somehow it's a bit shallow and at times over the top, with redundant scenes and some big names cast in minor roles. While I can't really say this is a bad movie, it's certainly a missed opportunity for something much more compelling.

A curiously uneven movie. Using shifting narrative, it starts off as a romantic comedy/drama, then shifts into more serious territory and eventually the dark tone takes over. If you are not too distracted by Isabelle Adjani to pay attention, you may appreciate the complex plot involving revenge and tragic ending, yet somehow it's a bit too clumsy to be a serious thriller.

This movie is a bit hard to classify, as it crosses several genres. It is, essentially, a prison escape flick (as advertised), but there's quite a bit more to it. The performances are excellent and they manage to create multidimensional characters that you genuinely care for. I like the ending and how it changed the perspective of things, but overall the story was way too far-fetched. The director chose "style over substance" approach on too many occasions, and the prison itself was just unrealistic. Still, it's a competent effort, with a complex plot structure that holds up despite the shortcomings.
