Glen Grunau’s review published on Letterboxd:
After the severity of "Son of Saul" last night, we were definitely due for lighter faire tonight. This hilarious tale with an underlying warm hearted sentiment fit the bill perfectly.
This is much more than what at first glance seemed little more than a modern remake of the Emporer Who Wore No Clothes - although this portrayal produced some of the best belly laughs I have enjoyed in some time.
Meryl Streep, love her or hate her (we happen to love her), remains in my view one of the most versatile and talented actresses for this generation.
