    Have been curious about this forever, since the Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film described the movie and bemoaned its comedically dubbed (ostensibly) U.S. version.     Fun, but would be more fun if it were REALLY a "gangsters versus Nazis" story. To placate the Hays Office, I gather, Bogart's character is a "sportsman" (pro gambler, essentially) rather than a mobster. While his support crew, particularly Demarest and McHugh, is a delight, this is definitely Warners in more buttoned-up mode.
