One thing I expected from this movie was for the main character, Holly, to be a prostitute. That was the only fact I gleaned about the movie from the short synopsis provided in the TV guide. If i hadn't read that I would never have realised the character is a prostitute. There is barely any evidence of that in the movie, except for some weird euphemism involving getting paid to use "the powder room" or something. One thing I did not expect from this movie was the hugely insulting portrayal of the landlord as an amalgamation of offensive stereotypes. I suppose that passed for entertainment back then.
I don't appreciate any aspect of this movie or the main character or the insipid "romance". Still, I'm glad I watched it so i know what people are raving on about.
