    Good Time

Easily one of my favourite film soundtracks to date , Oneohtrix Point Never did an amazing job on this film capturing the intensity of the film and recklessness found within Conny; visually this film is great, the neon colours really fit with the music to create a whole vibe and Robert Pattinson gave a terrific performance, but one of the  show stealers for me was Buddy Duress who’s monologue was the best scene of the movie

  • The World's End

    The World's End

Definitely a worthy conclusion to the trilogy and whilst I do prefer the other two slightly I think this probably has the best written characters especially Gary, but all in all this was seriously another great film by Edgar Wright

  • The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Another highly entertaining film by Wes Anderson, I was surprised to see this is one of his lowest rated films because I found it to be one of his most visually pleasing and heartfelt films. I think it’s quite slow paced at times and the story is fairly straightforward, but the performances really carry this film and the dynamic between Steve and Ned is really interesting to see and I like how it played out apart from one scene involving…

  • The Bourne Supremacy

    The Bourne Supremacy

The second entry in the Bourne Trilogy carries on the mystery surrounding Treadstone and further develops the overarching narrative by introducing several new key characters; this film is again a very good action film and I like how they didn’t feel the need to add a ton more action in this one. There is more action but not a whole lot of it - once again Matt Damon is great in this and in this film you see Bourne at…

  • Aladdin

First time seeing this actually, may have seen it when I was younger but I didn’t remember any of it beforehand. This is a really great animated movie and this style of animation is really cool, there’s some really slick animation especially in the scene where the Genie first sings; also Rob Williams performance is one of the best I’ve ever seen in an animation, he was absolutely amazing. The only thing about this film is it didn’t have the…

  • Tangled

One of the more entertaining Disney films I’ve seen by far, this film is a really great time and makes you feel like you’re on an adventure; the voice acting is really good all round and there is genuinely a lot of funny moments in this.

  • Gerald's Game

    Gerald's Game

By FAR one of the best horror directors working today, Mike Flanagan has made one of the best Stephen King adaptations, this film is lead brilliantly by Carla Gugino who I think is such an underrated actress; and the whole supporting cast did a really good job too.

  • 127 Hours

    127 Hours

Thanks to the direction of Danny Boyle and the brilliant acting from James Franco this film makes for a really good time, the editing was really stylish and unique and even though most of the film was set in one location, it never got boring or dragged and had me in suspense the whole time

  • The Gift

    The Gift

Always thought this was a really solid, intense thriller that is slow burn but truly keeps you on edge throughout and it’s really cool how they make you turn on the characters when you find out their pasts. To think Joel Edgerton wrote, acted and directed this is so impressive , really recommend.

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

    The Nightmare Before Christmas

I think this is one of the most well animated and stylish films ever made and I love the characters and all the music , it’s not as good as I remember it being and the story is a bit wild but I still really liked it

  • Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

The first entry in this trilogy is so rewatchable , I’ve seen this film so many times I just find it really entertaining. The relationship between Caesar and Will is really nice and seems genuine and the CGI on Caesar even in the first film is really impressive - I think this film is the weakest of the three but it’s still a very good film and did a great job setting up the trilogy

  • Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness

This documentary was absolutely mad , can’t believe I hadn’t heard about any of this before the way this story played out was like something out of a Coen Brothers movie , such an entertaining watch
