Fear Street: 1666

Fear Street: 1666 ★★★★

Ends the trilogy in a satisfying fashion.

So the overarching mythology that I wasn't huge on in the previous instalments is given more focus this time around and is far more interesting here. In fact I actually think it makes what came before retroactively better which is nice. The decision to cast new characters with the same actors from previous entries was a bit jarring (particularly with some not so convincing accent work) but I can see why they did it and I got used to it. The cinematography is really good and I also found the pacing to be good as well. The acting is solid even with my already mentioned gripes. The action is also good with some solid gore even if it doesn't quite reach the levels of the second one. But in general I had a total blast with the last 30 minutes or so.

Really ends the series off with on a high note.
