Carlos López Estrada's ambitious feature debut, written by the wonderful Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal, is one of the best films of last year. Tonally great - seamlessly funny, while also being heartbreaking, and tense to the point where it's palpable. The editing and direction remind of American Animals, but more dynamic and full of style; it is incredibly engaging throughout its running time. The cast is spectacular and omg Daveed *bows down* the talent jumped out! Some scenes are truly unforgettable.
