Paul Elliott’s review published on Letterboxd:
Gone Girl features a tremendous ensemble cast who connect exceptionally well. Based on Gillian Flynn’s 2012 novel of the same name, who also co-wrote the screenplay, it’s directed by David Fincher with a good deal of the technical command of image, sound and production design for which he’s become known. He once again uses music arranged by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and their soundscapes help depict a world where all marriages end up in big empty houses of lies and betrayal. A proficient example of a modern-day thriller.
