the reverence this film (and the franchise) holds for like, every single flavor of action film of the last one hundred years is astounding. they put fucking scott adkins in a fat suit!!! they made donnie yen blind!!! anyone who decries the nonsense world of the later entries is lying to themselves about what these movies have been from the first frame. they turned the journal square path station into japan, new jersey will always be a part of the wick world . . .
