happy new year, everyone!
no better film to start off the year I think -- this is warm and loving at the core, with each character distinctly different yet with a unifying respect and admiration for their sisters. I related to this the way I did similarly with The Farewell )2019) where I empathized with the drive to be independent and fleeing, yet always wanting the comfort of being able to come home to familiarity. i lovelovelove this so much!
a small issue i had with it: the flashbacks were hard to distinguish sometimes? Also, Charlamet never really ages?
