If I was rating the first half of this it would be 5 stars but the second half pretty much lost me as I didn't find the story interesting. But fuck me that first half!! The chemistry between the trio is outstanding, the choreography puts me under a spell and it's just so joyful to watch the cast beaming through their routines clearly having the time of their life.

All 3 of them are magical and had me like a gleeful kid through their pieces but I couldn't take my eyes off Donald O'Connor especially. This movie and its stars are the perfect example of why physical performances are so captivating. The work put into the dancing is surreal and so satisfying to watch payoff.

I can see myself coming back to this on rainy days where I'm ill and need a pick me up because it made me so happy. Hopefully I'm more into the end of it next time.
