Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

As a true fan of the original video games franchise, I was quite surprised with the production design, that’s one good thing that saved this film.

On the negative note, they weren’t able to fully develop the film’s characters, given that they gave its full storyline to the Redfields and disregard the fact that Kennedy and Valentine are also part of film’s main protagonists.

And lastly, this film is better than Paul W.S Anderson’s franchise. Period.

i didn’t expect the twists on this film. for. a. horror. movie. although, i have to admit that there were so much things happening in the film, it wasn’t perfect but regardless, i enjoyed it!

  • The Ritual

    The Ritual

The film would’ve been nicer if Luke (played by Rafe Spall) have a character development. Unlike his other 3 friends which have more interesting storylines than Luke but all throughout the film they gave nothing but a snooze fest because of this uninteresting and poor-written protagonist – probably one of the worst characters I’ve seen in a film.

But they still managed to keep the horror and suspense elements in this film. I would still recommend this film to those who want to experience a creepy and modern kind of horror film.
