Blindspotting

Blindspotting

I enjoyed this quite a bit, mostly because of the characters. The story itself has a lot going on, there's a lot of themes, fear is probably the main one, and I get what they were going for. It's a little on the nose, a little corny, but it still lands. Now the characters, Collin and Miles, they carry the film. It could've just been them packing up a truck and unpacking it for 95 minutes and I would've enjoyed it. They have good chemistry and feel like real friends, which they happen to be. They're actually both credited as writers and have been working on this film for nearly a decade, so that's really what makes these characters shine, in my opinion. They're likable characters that keep you engaged in the film. I think this turned out pretty well, I wasn't blown away but I enjoyed it and can admire the cast and crew for making a love letter to Oakland. Check it out if you'd like!
