Gregory’s review published on Letterboxd:
This. Movie. Is. Unbelieveable.
Yorgos has arrived for wider audiences, and he’s done it in his own way.
Best choreography for Suspiria? Nope. It’s here.
Performance of the year by Colman? I’d bet on it.
A movie that explores our capability to extend admiration to others if it plays to our own benefit, and ultimately how we can become prisoners to that admiration if it is not genuine. How long can we do it for? For what purpose? How far will we go and how do we get out of it?
This gem... Sharply written with layered characters that are all to be reckoned with, explores the nightmare of becoming completely beholden to someone through power, competition, jealousy and greed — a someone you do not truly love.
Favourite of the year? Highly likely.
