  Sorry Bobby but this thing stinks. 

  Hanks is poorly cast, whispering and uninspired. Zemeckis seems to forget the mix of animation and live action worked in Roger Rabbit because it was central to the plot. The Disney fan service stuff was unfortunate. The jokes that hit punch lines like  “Chris Pine”  are repugnant. This really just didn’t need to be made.

  So exhausted with the pretentiousness of “critics”. There isn’t an uninteresting frame in the full 2 and a half hours. The formless vignette style of storytelling is clearly a choice and a deft one. Shell shocked characters with only thoughts of survival. I also draw issue with people saying it’s just another “war is hell” movie as if every movie isn’t one of five different stories. Everything has already been done.
