Adú 2020
A decent enough drama about North African immigrants, Spanish cops, a father and her drug-addicted daughter, bikes, elephant tusks, AIDS, the fallout of the Franco regime, child abuse... does this sound overstuffed to you? It's because this is a new example of the once-ubiquitous Hyperlink Cinema, and it turns out that today's social drama filmmakers are beginning to be inspired by 2005's Crash. God help us all.

Ratatouille 2007
Sheer lunacy. Pixar love walking the tight-rope of out-there concepts, ideas and characters and this is one their boldest, most heartwarming gambits.

Mission: Impossible III 2006
Just now realized that Michelle Monaghan's role briefly flirts with becoming the "Ethan Hunt's possible replacement in the next movie" role that Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Ferguson* would fill in the next movies. But Cruise is still trucking, so no.
*Henry Cavill could have been this too if not for spoiler reasons.

I Care a Lot 2020
A good movie that doesn't know what it is and wants to be a Coen brothers movie so bad that it ends as a bad movie. Shame.
Una buena película que no sabe lo que es y quiere ser una película de los Coen tanto que termina como una mala película. Lástima.

The Assistant 2019
Una lenta acumulación de humillaciones y gaslights tan mundanas que casi ocultan lo espantosas que en realidad son. Casi.

Black Hawk Down 2001
This was on TV last night. I hadn't seen it in like five years and I feel like every time I watch it there's one more dude who became famous since the last time I watched it. Last time it was Tom Hardy. This time it's Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who shows up a bit at the beginning before the action happens.
Any other movies like this?
