Beyond The Mountain ★★★★

Beyond the mountain - Slow and depressing start. The mother cannot get over her separation from her husband. She leaves behind an address and a gun to her son when she died. The son goes looking for his father. Palpable tension from the moment he finds him. They travelled without each acknowledging the other. They reached a house and the tension breaks in a bewildering, offhand manner. Such a moving and emotional moment! All the regrets packed in that single moment and all the remorse for his mistakes to his own father and to his son in a brilliant dialogue! The denouement is dramatic and forgiveness comes in a bewildering, offhand yet deep gesture.
