with rumors of a remake in black and white carpenters idea is fully realized but in color not b&w. in fact this version uses color to its advantage. nearly everything is better in color but i was tempted to change my tv settings to make it black and white (like the die hard internet bloggers protest on their purest film blogs). and with talks of a new theatrical run for the 1995 remake buzz has it that there will be full on riots in the streets if they dont turn down the blue and the red and make this sucker b & w. heres to hoping the movie lords do the right thing and turn off the color..at least thats how carpenter always wanted it.
