Left feeling that I've seen one half of a movie. Like the idea, but I feel like there were so many pointless killings in Red State. Characters who didn't need to die were killed off because they could be killed off, just as a character was developing. And what happened to those kids in the attic?
I feel like this was something that could have been really well done, but it was blown way out of proportion and became really unrealistic. In no American world would you see mothers firing assault rifles at expertly trained, heavily armed soldiers. Not in my experiences anyway, even for a cult that is extreme.
Just don't believe it.
