  A fancy movie for a fancy man. Today I bought a plot of land in Scotland which officially makes me a Lord.

  Anyways, this movie was like anti-Whiplash.

  Unfortunately not every Godzilla movie can be Godzilla Minus One, but so far this has been my favorite Showa era Godzilla sequel film. Which is strange to say because there’s not really much kaiju action in this one. It’s basically all saved for the end, but that’s okay because I was adequately invested in all the human/alien stuff. The comedy has leveled up noticeably. It’s silly and it knows it, but the actors play it so seriously. Even the G-man himself is more silly this time around with his boxing style combat versus Ghidorah and the little victory dance he does earlier in the film.
