Favs are just current moods more than anything
In an age where storytelling is fading away as a form of human connection, this film should suffice to make everyone fall back in love with the idea of a beautiful story.
A dark and tense thriller about trauma, family, and vengeance. Strong acting carries the films weak plot and lack of continuity. The film fits itself comfortably within the popular small town, neo-noir like thriller (3 Billboards, Hell or High Water) in which the use of space and setting become its own character. However, where Out of the Furnace falls short is in its writing and story design. The first half felt like one very long piece of exposition, never really finding it’s footing…
