For a horror movie set entirely on someone's desktop, it's actually not so bad. This is true especially if you enjoy seeing horrible teenagers off themselves one by one in pretty gruesome ways. Unfortunately, you'll also have to sit through lots of infuriating screaming and gimmicky loud noises to get to the bloody parts.
The characters are paper thin, and like most found footage films, atmosphere is almost non-existent. These movies are designed to be voyeuristic and 'realistic' but its ability to induce fear has lessened drastically over the years. If you combine this with Unfriended's cynicism, it just becomes a disaffecting journey with some very, very unlikable people-- on Skype.
