Niko Hackett’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was pleasantly surprised with Batman v Superman. After hearing all the criticism, I was very worried seeing it. But, this movie blew me away. Yes there were some problems, but for me they were just with the plot holes. Ben Affleck played a ruthless and merciless batman, and I liked a different change of speed for that character. Henry Cavill was fine as superman, although I preferred his performance in Man of steel a little more. Gal Gadot was an epic Wonder Woman, and her performance gets me excited for her movie next year. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was honestly very menacing and psychotic. Doomsday was also a good final villain, and was very cool to see on the big screen. My favorite scene in the whole movie would have to be Bruce Wayne's dream sequence where he is in The desert as Knightmare Batman. To me that scene was beautifully executed and well shot. Batman and Superman's showdown is epic too, and you'll be surprised who comes out victorious. To me, this movie was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed it very much.
