This film was brilliant albeit creepy as hell. Fincher's direction is some his best, and that's saying a lot because his direction is always incredible. As a viewer, you really feel the rush the characters feel when they're onto something, and the frustration they feel when the keep hitting dead ends. Gyllenhaal is of course amazing as always, as is the rest of the cast. I was pretty bummed to see this film got almost no love at awards season - though it's not entirely surprising due to the nature of this film. The Zodiac killer is a case that will likely never be officially solved, but this film does still offer an interesting sense of closure by more or less unofficially solving the case and that's probably the best we can do.
