Marvel, take the box marked 'characters with mental health issues', just put it down and walk away. I'm serious now, just walk away.
You're not good at this. I get that you're trying, that's just great but this whole cinematic universe isn't a great space to explore that kind of stuff.

It took some weird directions and kept rolling with it but I was mostly lost or confused and mostly didn't care. I only kept watching it for Oscar Isaac.

Trigger warning - this is a 2 hour movie about a movie production in a Covid bubble. It's actually kind of gross.

It's weirdly watchable and I guess they were going for relatable in some ways but then it really isn't.

I dunno guys... Pedro Pascal is disheveled and gorgeous and it's easy to watch. But honestly, it also made me feel sick in the pit of my stomach. Maybe we shouldn't mine entertainment from this. Maybe I didn't need or want this.

Thanks for putting up with me

That moment in bed where she says that to her boyfriend is me. I have felt that. I have been that person. Who knows maybe I'll be that person again in a moment of quiet insecurity.
    This movie is gorgeous.

Also Herbert Nordrum reminds me a lot of Adam Driver before he starting booking all those big Hollywood gigs. Such a natural charisma. Anders Danielsen Lie does a lot of heavy lifting too.

This is a film about Chinese people living in America, the inter-generational struggles of families, mothers and daughters, work-life balances and lesbian love.
Also manages to get the classic three way punch of the dramatic wedding, the bit where they sit at the back of the bus AND a frantic trip to the airport! Such quality. Such precision.
It is everything and it's freaking delightful!!
