Hamish’s review published on Letterboxd:
Oh my god.
I thought that this was just gonna be a straight detective film the whole way through, but then then that ending absolutely steals the show. I was shocked by how emotional this ended up making me. That being said, the straight detective stuff was ridiculously well done too.
It’s so thrillingly modern, with its gorgeous cinematography, incredible screenplay, and surprisingly anti-capitalist messaging, yet charmingly old in some of its goofier action sequences and one-liners. Fuck Polanski, but Jesus Christ this was good.
