This could have been an interesting watch but I have the feeling that there were too many enforced changes in post-production that may have sullied it. An excellent performance by Michelle Williams is the highlight.
A lot of the complaints I've seen go that somehow the racist cop got redemption by the end and that shouldn't happen because he's a racist cop.
Firstly, even if it that were true, it wouldn't make it a bad film in and of itself. Films do not have to be didactic.
Secondly, I don't know how anyone can think he got redemption.
