Kong: Skull Island

Kong: Skull Island ★★

This film has no characters, is possibly the worst waste of acting talent in recent memory and worse still completely forgets that Kong is a character in his own right. Action is for the most part poorly handled and the film feels flat and uninspired. What little story there is nonsensical and delivers the worst kind of popcorn logic (none). The only plus is that Kong looks decent enough and is closer in appearence to the 1933 original than in the 2005 (much superior) Jackson effort. The only other things going for it are Hiddleston in a fitted T-shirt and Brie Larson in a vest... avoid.
