kinda stereotypical but i liked that it felt like a killer 7 cutscene because i have no historical reference point for film vocabulary to decipher what in fact this film is actually referencing with its stylistic decisions

On one hand we have the wonder for the every day, expressed through the kids' POV of the home, of the woods in the back of the home. idk why i decided to watch this. after seeing volleyball memes for my whole life i figured it was time. it was pretty funny. guy who works too hard and ignores his love life... sent to an island to learn how to be better! he fucks up a bunch of times like cutting his leg on coral and stuff but doesn't die somehow. He survives 4 years which is maybe 4 times as long as anyone in history has managed…
