    On one hand we have the wonder for the every day, expressed through the kids' POV of the home, of the woods in the back of the home. I don't think it's the case that only kids can see it (although that's the case re: totoro in this film), there's an appreciation to the everyday with this film - the way wind blows during dark evenings gathering firewood, the awkward childhood crushes and interactions between kids, a small animal tunnel…

    idk why i decided to watch this. after seeing volleyball memes for my whole life i figured it was time. it was pretty funny. guy who works too hard and ignores his love life... sent to an island to learn how to be better! he fucks up a bunch of times like cutting his leg on coral and stuff but doesn't die somehow. He survives 4 years which is maybe 4 times as long as anyone in history has managed…
