Hans Morgenstern’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the best movies to trickle into the multiplex with nary a word of publicity in 2015 was Mr. Turner. It's a gorgeous thing to behold. No wonder it was nominated for a cinematography Oscar. But it also deserves notice for its lead performance and production design. Heck, even the film's editing is wondrous. I literally yelled "Oh my God!" and laughed aloud between cuts of Turner spitting on a painting and a close-up of a mountain. It's a brilliant, under seen gem of a movie.
