A cinephile with psychopathic tendencies.
I think I fell in love with this film once I heard the first score by Trent & Atticus. It reminded me a lot of Kids which made the Harmony cameo feel like a nice wink. The film also reminded me a lot of a cooler version of the underrated Lords of Dogdown with sketches of Thirteen, both films by Catherine Hardwick. Beautiful performances and talents all around. Incan’t wait to get obsessed with its soundtrack albeit 2-3 years later than most.
What a superb sequel. I’m so glad I avoided the many reviews as I did. I left the movie on the brink of tears?
For a multitude of reasons... I thought the whole adult cast were brilliant and eerily resembled all of the younger characters which was astonishing!
I think I was moved because of what the film has to say about childhood trauma and ptsd and how those things can linger with you in your adult life. The clown…
