Atmospheric murder mystery with reliable Eric Bana in the lead role. It’s quite surprising - I had two picks for who the killer is and I was wrong both times.
On the other hand the reveal is quite underwhelming and features really bad CGI - the concept of the scene was interesting but the execution made it look really goofy. Overall, the film isn’t particularly memorable but it’s competent, so if you are looking for good crime thriller this one will scratch that itch.
I started last week so well by gazing upon Bobby’s dick on Boardwalk Empire and I started this one so badly by witnessing what can only be described as penis freakshow monstrosity from Hell in this movie. I tell you I had to turn on HBO GO and go to the 50th minute of episode 3x05 to wash my eyes with glory.

If Davis had any chemistry with delightful Stewart that would maybe salvage her bland character but she didn't. Then you have incredible Aubrey Plaza as the romantic alternative for Stewart's character and it's just mind-boggling where the story goes. As soon as the cameras rolled on Day 1 they should have noticed that and just turn this into lesbian Get Out where Stewart's lovely character is trapped in that house with a nightmare of a girlfriend and her weirdo family.…
