Normal people have La La Land, I have this.
I absolutely love this movie and I haven't seen it in over a decade, so how lovely that Netflix just added it. And I am delighted to find out it holds up incredibly well.
Usually I cannot stand musicals but this one has such wicked, angry vibe to it that I absolutely loved. There's just so much passion here. It's my second favorite Tim Burton movie, one of my favorite Johnny Depp's performances and my favorite Helena Bonham Carter's performance - she is magnificent as the tragic Mrs. Lovett. The songs are insanely catchy and the art direction and costumes are impeccable. The cinematography is so gorgeous and this film really has this dark, rich atmosphere, it completely immerses you.
Depp is a total rock star in this, he may not have an amazing voice but I just love the way he performs these songs. "Epiphany" with him walking down the street and swinging that razor is amazing but his duets with Carter are even better.
