It's quite good for a flick directed by Madonna. The cinematography and Abel Korzeniowski's music are gorgeous and Andrea Riseborough gives it her all. The abdication scene is incredibly well done and quite moving thanks to the editing and the beautiful score
While the inclusion of modern story featuring Abbie Cornish, wandering around aimlessly, is absolutely pointless, that story features Oscar Isaac as Russian security guard (Goddammit, why can't I have security guards like this at work?!) who dances, saves her from her abusive husband and is all around dreamy.
