Haunting stories about stories, very much my bag. The set design is breathtaking, and there’s some spatial camera movement in here that will pull your soul along in its wake.

Not as essential or important as I felt it was on my first viewing, but still worthwhile. I’m partial to most anything where artists of these particular sensibilities take a sledgehammer to audience expectations and any semblance of order, even if the sort of “too edgy to take a side” attitude is a detriment as often as it’s an asset. Sellers, Southern, O’Dell and Thorne are the dream team.
