The Night of the Hunted 1980
Saw this a couple nights ago and it’s just gotten better the more I think about it. It really captured that subconscious, unnerving energy that After Hours or even Eyes Wide Shut does so well, but took it to even weirder places. Real cool! 😌☝🏼

The structure of this documentary will be familiar to anyone who has seen a music doc: humble beginnings, meteoric rise to fame, endless tours, drugs, disaster and ultimately redemption. Concert footage and talking head interviews are edited in intermittently and someone says the phrase “it all just went so fast”.
It works as a narrative according to any textbook: our protagonist has been on a journey where relationships have been tested and ultimately lessons learned.
I mean it’s all fine…
