shocked at the low rating for this and how most reviews say nothing or are completely missing the point.

this is a less suffocating (thanks to the adorably warm presence of Vicky Krieps) but equally effective Piano Teacher. it also reminds me of Mr Lazarescu, a tragic film that's labeled a dramedy which i find no humor in. Lynn's nonchalance and cluelessness about what she does to experience just a little bit of intimacy to me is just sad as…

"Everything we feel, we have to put into words. Sometimes I just want to feel things."

this is hilarious. a trashy ass D movie that is amusingly bad, except for this composer who seriously thought this was worth composing a FIRE saxophone score for

I'm sure the film was meant to be as tedious as it was, with the 4:3 for extra claustrophobia. it's shot nicely and the performance is fantastic. but when it's so unsophisticated and unconvincing with the logistics, it does not make for a compelling 2 hour watch.

first of all I LOVED shithouse. i thought raiff did a good job both directing it and acting. although in this exact moment, under the effect of just finishing this film, i am questioning that, but i'm confident a rewatch will prove that to be true again.

now, this was the longest 107 minutes of my life. cooper raiff is absolutely abominable in this. i've never seen a director overestimate their own charisma and screen presence as bad as this.…
