Letterboxd — Your life in film

very powerful movie that made me truly sick to my stomach - this was an incredible but horrific piece of art that probably shouldn’t have been made (i am so baffled that the main actress’ parents let her be in this). i was expecting this to be somewhat disturbing but not to this degree. major sexual assault warning. 

love you david cronenberg but this was more Crimes Against Cinema than Crimes of the Future!!

the way tom hanks came to australia only to immediately contract covid and then deliver the worst performance of his career. iconic!

Absolutely no one can convince me that Maurice is cgi THAT IS A REAL ORANGUTAN THAT THEY TAUGHT TO ACT!!! 

i took medication that causes drowsiness just before watching this movie and now i’m not sure just how much of it i was lucid dreaming

VERY conflicted about this one. i could see the potential; nice direction, compelling acting, overall cool 90s vibe….the conversations this movie was trying to have about sex and expression and love were almost profound but OH MY GOD!! so homophobic and misogynistic to an extent that was surely at least a little bit questionable even in 1997?? i understand having unlikeable protagonists but the way they barely faced repercussions for their actions seemed a little irresponsible. joey lauren adams is gorgeous though and i’m obsessed with her voice so still worth the watch for her alone.

i don’t know what it was about this movie but everyone* looked GORGEOUS. Diane Keaton was absolutely glowing. Frances McDormand slayed her two minutes of screen time. Keanu is as hot as always.

*except jack nicholson because WHAT THE FUCK

cute movie but i’m currently crying because the food looked so good i ordered uber eats waited the whole length of the movie only for them to cancel !! how could they do this to me

this was such a blast!!! genuinely the most fun i’ve had at the movies in a long time…slutty miles teller shirtless on a beach, incredible action and milf jennifer connelly what more could a girl want

This was great but every time someone mentioned Riverdale I physically recoiled
