An important chunk of the novel was squished into the last ten minutes and the story was not as fully expanded and complex as it could've been if it had done the novel justice. Good portrayal of Jane by Gainsbourg but the love between her character and the man who plays Rochester was never developed in a clear, passionate way like in the book.
