Lucky comes off as a kind of “time loop” film which was unexpected, and felt truly unique for the genre.
I can’t say that I understood it, we aren’t really given any information (background or resolution) but it was still an interesting watch. It felt like a surreal, nightmarish analogy for trauma or domestic violence. Also, Brea Grant is great in her role.
However, I am not the biggest fan of ambiguity in films. I definitely prefer at least a bit of exposition, but I know there’s absolutely an audience for this.
