This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

It's a revenge tragedy. There's even a Titus Andronicus style party scene. (No pies, don't worry )
I think it is very good. Kinda like Get Out, but I felt this was much colder. I couldn't like or sympathise with anyone here.
Technically brilliant though and sure give it the awards.

This is such a delight. It's my favourite adaptation of Jane Austen on film, only beaten by the iconic BBC version. There's even a moment to rival Colin Firth coming out of the lake. I never thought Mr Knightley could be so sizzling.
The casting is great, it's very funny, and lively, and it's about trying to be kind to each other, which was as timely for Jane Austen as it is now.

One of my stars is for fan service. This is so meta that it's like one long in joke. But I do know people who haven't seen the show are enjoying it, and I'm pleased about that.
Maggie Smith is still hilarious, Penelope Wilton gets some nice comebacks. Imelda Staunton is maybe a bit underused but lovely.
Poor Edith is a bit too fortunate in this film, I was looking forward to suffering with her... Mary is still perfect.

The BBC have made the best drama over the past year. Well maybe they do every year.
This was a beautiful, moving story. And one that I certainly didn't know about. I'm very glad they chose to make it and showed it on Holocaust memorial day.
    The ending is truly lovely.
