Horror fanatic... seriously, I don't watch anything else. Too many other hobbies & not enough free time.
I don't know how I managed to go over 28 1/2 years without ever seeing this movie. It's possibly the best movie I've ever seen in my entire life. What a piece of cinematic genius.
I was lucky enough to see it in a movie theater one night and my boyfriend & I were doubled over laughing the whole time. Perfection.
This review is for when I watched Alien in a theater for Alien Day 2017. I've previously seen the movie at home (and for some reason when I was quite young because my parents thought that was a good idea).
I am not just a fan of Alien. I've tried multiple times now, I've seen Aliens, Prometheus, my boyfriend is obsessed, I saw it in theaters. It does not capture my imagination.
Some of it aged very well, or has…
I'm extremely confused. I read so many high ratings filled with praise for this movie. The poster drew me in, I was intrigued by the description. I love found footage & Australian horror. Seemed perfect.
What on earth did I watch? I am all about slow burn movies, but this did not even reach fizzle and redefined slow. This was absolutely not "the scariest movie I have ever seen" (which was a common compliment!). If you have seen a horror movie…
Well, I certainly didn't watch this movie for the plot or the acting. Mostly the whole movie was a trainwreck. Which is a shame, because it could have been amazing. The acting was painful, the dialogue was stilted.
However, any time there was music, you basically had to put everything down and pay attention. David Garrett is amazing at violin. Not so much at acting, but that's okay.
