Iqbal 2005
I think I had only seen it once or twice in childhood but still it was able to register itself deeply. Probably because of the incredibly uplifting Ashayein song and the typical underdog story, which every child loves. Uses a lot of clichés, yeah, but who cares when the writing is so on mark and takes its time, and the cast is so loveable. Naseeruddin Shah playing the failed drunk mentor is also a perfect match. It's cute.

A Hindutva history. People often mistake Hindutva to be outrightly hateful (which it is), but it does not always reveal its hand and works dishonestly, like it does here.
