Saw this in the theater when it first came out, and loved it to death then. Much more problematic today (ouch, Sellers playing a Chinese character with about as much cultural grace as Hollywood used to afford "orientals"), but still some fun parts. 22 Twain, for example, is a joke that I've remembered since I was 7.

Throughly entertaining big-tent circus show, in the kind of world I always wanted SF to create. Dirty, raw, tough, mean, real, with honest emotions. Still living within a formulaic approach, but approaches it with humor and a wink, and gives nod to real feelings.

    The Hipster's lament:

If I give it an serious low score as a bad movie, than people won't think I "get" how funny it is. If I give it an ironic high score, then people might think I actually "liked" the film. Oh, Irony! Wicked muse.
