Yeah, i get it, it's a classic. The film it perfectly crafted, with a solid script, memorable quotes and a iconic Jack Nicholson performance. Chinatown is everything a classical hollywood movie has to be and more.
Personally i don't enjoy this type of films quite much, so i won't give it the perfect score, but is pretty good tough. -
I have to say I liked it because there's heavy LA imagery and I love being pandered to. The dialogue was really smart at times (except for the jokes, which were bad), but the overall story wasn't super satisfying. It also felt a little long, but I'd be remissed if I didn't say that the last 20 minutes POP.
