    the basic concept here -- an 18th century Predator spinoff with a Comanche heroine -- is far more interesting than 99% of franchise reboots. it's also a relief to see this kind of movie can still be filmed outdoors on location (damning with faint praise lol), and the setting inspired some pleasing opportunities for ingenious DIY weapons and action setpieces.
