Does it count as watching something before, if that before was in person in the theatre?

This left me as wrung out watching it in my living room as it did sitting in the theatre. Somehow, it turned out to be an extremely 2020 play.

Plus, excellent use of the word "wanging."

Watching this for maybe the second or third time and now I realise that Mrs Chan's rice cooker is the one we used to have until it sadly exploded about 10 years ago.

Also, seeing this again reminded me of when I last saw this film, with my Mum at an outdoor screening, and her telling me that the characters were speaking different dialects/languages to each other (ironically, this is what she does to anyone who addresses her in Chinese).…

This seemed like an interesting idea when I added it to my "to watch" list but watching it was just not fun.

    Holy cow, this was amazing.

A kind of crosshatch film of a grandmother telling a bedtime story about Baba Yaga and a meditation on life and nature in Eastern Europe.

As the dialogue is entirely in Polish and Russian, I'm curious as to how well the subtitles translate what's being said - the film is very poetic and the nature of translation means that there can be a clash between precisely translating meaning literally or giving a better feeling for the mood of what is being said.
