divided in three acts — the first two starting with a shocking tragedy that brutally takes the life of innocent people as soon as men pull their guns' trigger —, vox lux is a fucking masterpiece. the performances (specially natalie's, who delivers another phenomenal yet overlooked), a soundtrack fulfilled by great pop songs featuring as divine as disturbing instrumental tracks, that pleasing cinematography, an outstanding direction, and its harshness, humor, cruelty and realism. a realistic statement about the music industry, massacres that leads to the school shooting america faces, traumas hidden underneath dancing pop melodies, the dehumanization stalking cameras and intrusive questions coming from the media, and in the heart of it, stardom. an anti-a star is born, this is what vox lux is.
