BlacKkKlansman

BlacKkKlansman ★★★★½

This will (rightfully) be shown in film classes across the country. It’s a solidly interesting true story and Spike Lee’s direction is impeccable. I was glued to the screen throughout, and the stellar performances across the board certainly didn’t hurt. John David Washington has the humor and charisma in spades, while Adam Driver continues to deliver remarkably restrained, deeply felt performances.

The end montage shook me in the context of the film, and I hope it shakes every white person who sees it. We have GOT to do better. The time is now.
